Sustainability Analytics is an interdisciplinary research arena established as a collaboration between the Department of International Business (IIF) and Department of ICT and Natural Sciences (IIR) at NTNU in Ålesund.
The arena aims to offer data-driven decision support for sustainable development by integrating data analysis, sustainability analysis, and decision analysis. In our research, we aim to develop tools and workflows that promote integrated decision support chains, facilitate a seamless process from data acquisition to decision making.
Sustainability Analytics is anchored in the Sustainable Digital Transformation Group at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences (IIR) and the research group Business Transitions to Sustainable Development at the Department of International Business (IIF) at NTNU in Ålesund.
Business Transitions to Sustainable Development (BTSD) at IIF supports decision-makers across the public and private sectors in designing action for sustainable development. Our research in the Sustainability Analytics arena focuses on establishing analytical models and workflows to help structure, frame, and solve societal challenges.

The Sustainable Digital Transformation Research Group at IIR has been established to develop cutting-edge cross-disciplinary research related to the design, implementation, and validation of digital tools to address societal needs. The research group is interdisciplinary and has active members across NTNU and from different industry partners and research centers.
